Teachers’ day is a day to show our appreciation to the teachers and celebrated on different dates depending on the country. And do you know ? In some countries , teachers’ day is a day off school. Since 1994 , we celebrated the teachers’ day. Teachers’ day is divided in two kinds : World teachers’ day and National teachers’ day.
World teachers’ day is celebrated every year on 5 October. According to UNESCO, World Teachers' Day represents a significant token of the awareness, understanding and appreciation displayed for the vital contribution that teachers make to education and development. In international level , we have Education International (EI). It is the global union federation that represents education professionals worldwide. This global union federation strongly believes that World Teachers' Day should be internationally recognized and celebrated around the world.
National teachers’ day is celebrated every year on 25 November. Firstly , on 24-25 November 1945 in Surakarta was held the Indonesian teachers’ congress. Through this congress, all organizations and groups based on differences in teacher graduates, work environment, local environment, politics, religion, and tribe, agreed to be abolished. They chorused together to fill the independence with many aim.  Then our government responded by issuing Presidential Decree Number 78 Year 1994 namely on 25 November as National teachers’ day.
Many ways in which to commemorate the teachers’ day. For example there are competitions held, making teachers award, send a letter to the teacher, carnaval, pinning flowers on their teacher and etc. Everyone can be a teacher, but not everyone can be an inspiring and a professional teacher. become an inspiring teacher is not just teacher curriculum, but are able to develop students' potential and abilities, creative thinking and able to bring students who are resilient and ready to face various challenges and changes Being an inspiring teacher can be built with 3 elements; commitments (committed always inspire students), love (a love of educating) and has a vision.
For me , teacher is someone who is very instrumental in my life. Although they are sometimes annoying because they have given many tasks, stingy in value and talkative but they're the one who helped me to achieve a bright future. They have made me, from the beginning not knowing to knowing , add my knowledge and coloring my life too. I love the teachers with whom to share , always have the energy to their students , easy to understand in explaining subjects and friendly too. All of us know that teachers are the unsung heroes. In India has given greater honor to the teachers. An old Indian proverb that is usually taught to a child gives teachers the third rank, higher than God: "Maa, Pitha, Guru, Daivam", which means Mom, Dad, Teacher, Lord. That proverb means a teacher is very instrumental and so important in our life. Happy Teachers’ Day.
